Sorry, what’s that? Another fitness blog? Really though?
No, not really though! I’m trying to do something at least a little bit different. Have you just eaten enough chocolate to feed a small village? Can’t stop smoking? Hungover? Tired of Instagram @liftingweightsisfunandeasy shaming you as you roll out of bed after yet another nap? No problem. I’m here for you. Because I’ve been there. In fact sometimes I’m still there. But this is a blog about how you, yes even you, can get fabulously fit and perhaps even enjoy it! I’m going to share training tips, all things nutrition and just some of my ideas about running and fitness in order to hopefully motivate those of us who just can’t be arsed.
So, who am I? I hear you ask! I’m just a nobody. I’m not a qualified personal trainer or a nutrition specialist. A few years ago I wouldn’t even have described myself as sporty, but that’s why I’m doing this. I want to share my experiences of going from zero to hero and hopefully inspire some more people to do the same in an accessible, affordable and generally do-able way.
I started running a few years ago, not even able to run a mile without stopping. I then soon did a couple of triathlons, and by the time I got to Uni, joined a running club, got really really into it, ran a few half marathons and then last year ran the London Marathon. And I genuinely believe that if I can do this, anyone can. All it takes is a little bit of mind-power.
